Why Waxing Works Better Here

The genital and gluteal areas are among the most difficult to manage at home for obvious reasons. Shaving requires awkward angles, produces stubble quickly, and carries a higher risk of nicks and irritation in sensitive tissue. Trimming does not remove hair cleanly from the root and leaves visible growth behind.

Professional waxing removes hair from the root. Results last three to four weeks. With regular appointments, regrowth tends to come back finer and softer, and each visit becomes more comfortable than the last.

For first-timers, the most important preparation is letting the hair grow to about a quarter inch before the appointment, roughly two to three weeks after your last shave. If the hair is too short, the wax cannot grip it properly for a clean removal. If the hair is longer, your esthetician will trim before applying wax.

Some temporary redness in the treated areas is normal and fades within a few hours.

Do not shave between wax appointments. Shaving resets the hair to a coarser, blunter tip and makes your next wax less comfortable and less effective. Stick with the waxing schedule and results improve with each visit.

Wear loose, breathable underwear and clothing for the rest of the day after your appointment. Avoid heavy exercise and sweating for 24 hours. Skip active body washes and fragrant products on the waxed areas for 48 hours.

How Often Should You Come In?
