Venetian Glow Self Tanning
This relaxing tanning treatment is like no other. Whole-body dry exfoliation is followed by a soft self-tanning lotion, carefully applied while you lie down and sleep. We use Norvell® Venetian™ Rapid long-lasting, rapid self-tan lotion. Rinse at 1, 2, or 3 hours for a light, medium, or dark tan.
Norvell’s rapid self-tanner lotion allows a warm-water rinse after 1 hour for light color, 2 hours for a medium tan, or 3 hours for the darkest bronze.
While tan results will develop rapidly, you must avoid shampoo, soap, or shaving for at least 8 hours after application.
Norvell's rapid technology is designed for convenience, allowing you to shower in less than 12 hours. The silky lotion was created with VIO-7™, a unique blend of anti-orange bronzer pigments, designed to counter an unwanted orange undertone for a natural-looking tan. Choose your Tan!
Warm water rinse at 1, 2, or 3 hours for a light, medium, or dark tan. Instant cosmetic bronzer washes away after your first rinse, but the tan will continue to develop over the next 24 hours.
Natural Color Complex™ is our proprietary infusion of skin-loving ingredients that enhance color:
ANTI-AGING – Vitamin E and Tomato fruit extract help reduce wrinkles and prevent signs of aging.
TIGHTENS & FIRMS – Vitamin C stimulates collagen to help improve skin elasticity and firmness.
SMOOTHS & HYDRATES – Aloe Vera Barbandensis Leaf Juice is a moisturizing anti-oxidant that soothes and balances the skin to be more radiant.
Specially formulated with Ordenone®, a powerful odor-neutralizing ingredient, it effectively encapsulates and virtually eliminates odors commonly associated with self-tanning.
Important information:
Here’s what you need to know about using Venetian Gradual Self-Tanner CC Cream (or similar gradual self-tanning lotions) during pregnancy:
- Most self-tanners use dihydroxyacetone (DHA) as the active ingredient to create a tan. DHA reacts with the top layer of dead skin cells and stays mostly on the surface. Blood absorption is low when applied as a lotion, not sprayed.
- There are no strong clinical studies proving harm from DHA self-tanners in pregnancy. Cosmetic products are not FDA-tested for pregnancy, so safety data is limited.
- Dermatology sources often say topical DHA likely stays in the outer skin layer and has minimal systemic absorption. Some pregnancy resources describe self-tanning lotion use as probably safe.
- Spray tanning or aerosol products could pose more risk because DHA mist can be inhaled or contact mucus membranes. Experts advise avoiding sprays during pregnancy.
- If your skin is more sensitive now, irritation or allergic reactions could occur. Do a patch test on a small area first.
- Always confirm with your OB-GYN or prenatal care provider. They can weigh your personal medical history and any ingredient concerns for you and your baby.
Quick checklist before use:
- Apply only as a lotion (not spray).
- Avoid eye, lip, nose contact.
- Test on a small patch first.
- Ask your doctor if you have doubts.
