Soft Peel Glow
Your skin has two problems right now. The dead cell buildup dimming your tone. And the peach fuzz catching light in all the wrong ways and making your makeup sit unevenly on your face. The Soft Peel Glow fixes both in 40 minutes and sends you out with the kind of glow that makes people ask what you did differently.
This treatment at Pia Esthetics Day Spa in South Tampa combines dermaplaning with a lactic acid peel and professional serums for an instant, visible result. No extractions. No downtime. Just noticeably smoother, brighter skin that you can see and feel the moment the treatment ends.
What Is Dermaplaning?
Dermaplaning uses a sterile surgical blade held at a precise angle to remove the outermost layer of dead skin cells and the fine vellus hair, commonly called peach fuzz, from the surface of your face.
It sounds more dramatic than it is. The treatment is painless. Most clients describe it as a light, comfortable scraping sensation, similar to shaving but far more precise and done by a trained professional using a medical-grade tool.
What comes off is the layer of buildup and fuzz that makes skin look dull and causes makeup to sit unevenly. What is revealed underneath is fresh, smooth skin that reflects light differently and absorbs products far more effectively.
Why Add a Lactic Peel?
Dermaplaning on its own delivers excellent results. The Soft Peel Glow takes it further by following the dermaplaning with a lactic acid peel.
Lactic acid is one of the gentler chemical exfoliants. It works by dissolving the bonds between dead skin cells at a deeper level than the blade can reach, which means the combination of both treatments removes buildup from two different layers simultaneously. The result is significantly brighter, more even skin than either treatment would produce alone.
Lactic acid also draws moisture into the skin as it works, which is why this combination is particularly effective for clients dealing with dullness and dehydration at the same time.
Professional serums finish the treatment, locking in hydration and maximizing the glow that the dermaplaning and peel created.
What to Expect
Your appointment runs about 40 minutes. You come in with makeup-free skin and leave with skin that feels like it has been replaced.
The treatment has no downtime. One of the most practical things about dermaplaning is that you can go straight back to your day after. No redness that requires recovery time, no peeling that needs to hide at home. You can book it at lunch and head back to work looking better than when you left.
Makeup applies beautifully after dermaplaning because there is no peach fuzz for product to catch on. If you have an event, this is a treatment worth scheduling a day or two before.
Who Is This For?
The Soft Peel Glow is the right choice if you:
- Want an immediate, visible improvement in skin brightness and texture
- Notice your makeup sitting unevenly or looking patchy on your skin
- Deal with dullness, mild discoloration, or an uneven complexion
- Are preparing for a photoshoot, event, or special occasion

Good to Know: After Your Treatment
Your skin is freshly exfoliated from two directions. A few simple steps protect your results.
Skip harsh exfoliants and active acids for at least three to four days. Your skin does not need more exfoliation right now. Use a gentle moisturizer and let the serums continue working.
Apply SPF every day without skipping. Freshly dermaplaned skin is more vulnerable to sun damage, and Tampa gets enough UV to matter year round. Protecting your skin after this treatment locks in the brightness and prevents pigmentation from forming.
Avoid steam rooms, saunas, and excessive heat for 24 hours. Your skin is more sensitive than usual and does not need that kind of stress right after a peel.
Want More from Your Dermaplaning?
The Soft Peel Glow is the entry point in the dermaplaning menu. Other dermaplaning treatments on the menu layer in additional modalities for deeper results and longer-lasting effects. Ask your esthetician which version fits your skin goals best.
