Forearms Wax
Smooth forearms feel different. They look different in photos, in short sleeves, in the moments when you notice your skin. The Forearm Wax at Pia Esthetics Day Spa in South Tampa removes hair from the elbow down to the wrist cleanly and efficiently in about 20 minutes.
No daily shaving. No stubble by tomorrow. Just smooth skin for three to four weeks.
Why Wax the Forearms?
Forearm hair is one of those things that bothers some people a lot and others not at all. If it bothers you, waxing is the most practical solution available. Shaving works but grows back quickly, leaves stubble, and requires constant upkeep. Waxing removes hair from the root, which means results last significantly longer and the regrowth tends to come back finer and softer over time.
For clients who are self-conscious about arm hair, or who simply prefer the feel of smooth skin, forearm waxing is one of the easiest and most satisfying services to add to a regular routine.
It is also popular before vacations, beach trips, events, and weddings, any time you want your arms to look and feel their best.
What to Expect
Your appointment runs about 20 minutes. Your esthetician applies warm wax and removes the hair from the elbow down to the wrist on both arms. The technique is efficient and the result is clean. Most clients find the forearm area more comfortable to wax than they expected, as the skin there is less sensitive than facial or bikini areas.
Some temporary redness is normal and typically fades within a few hours. The skin may feel slightly sensitive for the rest of the day. Most clients go directly back to their normal activities after the appointment.
Let your arm hair grow to at least a quarter inch before coming in. That is the minimum length the wax needs to grip the hair for a clean removal.
Who Is This For?
The Forearm Wax works for both men and women. It is a strong fit if you:
- Are self-conscious about arm hair and want a longer-lasting solution than shaving
- Are preparing for a vacation, a beach trip, a wedding, or any occasion where you want smooth arms
- Want to simplify your grooming routine and eliminate daily or weekly shaving from your forearms
- Prefer the feel of smooth skin and want it to last more than a day or two
- Have tried shaving and dealt with stubble, irritation, or ingrown hairs in the arm area
Good to Know: After Your Forearm Wax
The skin on your forearms is freshly exfoliated after waxing and more sensitive than usual for a day or two.
Avoid tight sleeves or anything that creates friction on the freshly waxed skin for a few hours. Let the skin breathe.
Skip active body washes, scrubs, and AHA-based products on the forearms for 48 hours. Your skin does not need additional exfoliation right now.
Apply SPF if your arms will be in the sun. Freshly waxed skin is more vulnerable to UV and the forearms get a lot of sun exposure, especially in Tampa.
Exfoliate gently about two to three days before your next wax appointment. Light exfoliation in the days leading up to your visit helps prevent ingrown hairs and makes the removal cleaner and more comfortable.
How Often Should You Come In?
Most clients come back every three to four weeks. Hair growth varies by person, so your esthetician can help you find the right schedule based on how your arms look and feel between visits.
Add It to Any Visit
The Forearm Wax pairs easily with other services at the spa. Many clients combine it with a facial, a bikini wax, or a leg wax to take care of multiple areas in one visit. Let your esthetician know at booking and they will build it into your appointment.
