What Is the Hollywood Wax?

The Hollywood Wax removes hair extensively from the bikini area, the inner thighs, and the back, including the gluteal area. A narrow strip is left in the front. The width and shape of that strip can be discussed with your esthetician at your appointment.

This is a more complete service than a Sexy Bikini Wax, which focuses on defining the front and sides without full back coverage. It is less than a Brazilian or Completely Bare wax, which removes everything including the front strip.

For clients who want full back smoothness and extensive coverage while keeping a defined element in front, the Hollywood is the precise middle ground.

What to Expect

Your appointment runs about 30 minutes. Your esthetician walks you through every step. You will discuss the strip style before anything begins, so there are no surprises about the result.

We use premium hard wax throughout. Hard wax grips the hair rather than the skin, which makes it significantly more comfortable in sensitive areas and produces a cleaner removal than soft wax. For a service with this level of coverage, the wax quality matters.

Some temporary redness is normal and typically fades within a few hours. Most clients go directly back to their day after the appointment.

Let your hair grow to about a quarter inch before coming in, roughly two to three weeks after your last shave. If your hair is longer, do not trim at home. Your esthetician will handle it.

Do not shave between wax appointments. Shaving resets the hair to a coarser, blunter tip and makes your next wax less comfortable and less effective. Stick with the waxing schedule and results improve steadily over time.

Exfoliate gently two to three days before your next visit. Light exfoliation helps prevent ingrown hairs and makes the removal cleaner at your next appointment.

Skip heavy lotions or oils on the day of your appointment. Product residue can prevent the wax from gripping the hair properly.
