Accessibility Statement
At Pia Esthetics Day Spa, we want everyone to feel welcome — online just as much as in our spa. We are committed to making our website usable and enjoyable for all of our guests, including people with disabilities. Accessibility is part of how we care for our community, and it is an ongoing priority for us.
Our commitment
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These internationally recognized guidelines help make web content more perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust for everyone. We build and review our pages with these standards in mind and treat accessibility as continuous work rather than a one-time task.
What we’ve done
- Descriptive text alternatives (“alt text”) for informational images.
- Keyboard-operable navigation, menus, and pop-ups — including an Escape key and no keyboard traps.
- A clearly visible focus outline so keyboard users always know where they are.
- Labels on form fields (checkout, payment, employment application, and reviews) for screen-reader users.
- Color combinations chosen to meet contrast requirements for readable text.
- A “Skip to main content” link and support for reduced-motion preferences.
Known limitations we’re actively improving
We’re transparent about the areas we’re still refining. We are currently working on:
- Enhancing focus handling in the full-screen navigation menu (moving and returning focus as it opens and closes).
- Reviewing older blog posts and third-party embedded content (maps, booking, and translation tools) that we do not fully control.
- Continuing screen-reader and keyboard testing across our online shop and checkout to catch edge cases.
- Improving accessible names on some dynamically generated ratings and category icons.
Because parts of our site rely on third-party services, some elements may not yet fully meet our target. We are addressing these as quickly as we reasonably can.
