Wear whatever you are comfortable in to arrive at the spa — you will undress privately in the treatment room before your massage. Most clients undress to their level of comfort: some remove all clothing, while others keep their underwear on. Either option is perfectly fine and will not affect the quality of your massage.

Here is what you need to know about clothing and draping for your massage at Pia Esthetics Day Spa:

Before the massage: Your therapist will leave the room so you can undress in complete privacy. You will lie on the table and cover yourself with a sheet. Undress only to your personal comfort level — there is no requirement to remove all clothing.

During the massage: Professional draping is maintained throughout your entire session. Only the area being worked on is uncovered; everything else stays covered by the sheet. This standard is non-negotiable at our spa and is a core part of massage therapy ethics.

What to consider when choosing what to wear to the spa:

• Loose, comfortable clothing is easiest to change in and out of
• Avoid heavy jewelry that you would need to remove and keep track of
• If you are coming from work, business attire is perfectly fine — you will change in the room
• Skip heavy perfume or cologne, as the treatment room is a scent-controlled environment

After the massage: Some oils or lotions may remain on your skin even after wiping down. Wearing darker clothing or casual clothes can be helpful if you are concerned about oil transfer.
