Brazilian vs. regular bikini wax:
- A regular bikini wax only removes hair along the bikini line — the sides and top — cleaning up what would be visible outside a swimsuit.
- A Brazilian wax goes much further, removing hair from the entire area including the labia and between the buttocks, leaving smooth skin everywhere.
Customization options:
- Completely bare (Hollywood): All hair removed everywhere — the most popular choice
- Landing strip: A narrow vertical strip of hair left on the pubic mound
- Small triangle: A neat triangle shape left on the front
- Your design: Tell your esthetician what you want and they will deliver it
The process: Your esthetician uses a combination of hard wax (which hardens and peels off without a strip — gentler on sensitive areas) and soft wax (applied with a cloth strip — efficient for larger areas). The entire service takes 15 to 30 minutes for regular clients.
Pain level: The first session is typically the most uncomfortable. With regular waxing every four to five weeks, hair grows back finer and the discomfort decreases significantly with each visit.
